Guests get to ride the steam train outside of the park to see the maintenance facilities where the crews will be preparing the other steam locomotives. The 'Magic Behind Our Steam Trains' Tour is an extra-fee tour that takes place on select mornings.

While the Railroad is closed, one of the steam locomotives has been on public display at either the Main Street USA Train Station or the Storybook Circus Train Station.

The Railroad's last day of operation was in December of 2018, it is expected to re-open sometime in late 2022 or early 2023. *NOTE* - The Walt Disney World Railroad is currently closed during the park's construction of its TRON Roller Coaster attraction.
